I WANT TO INSPIRE YOU WITH MY DAILY PRACTICE TO RELIEVE STRESS!

Anxiety, caregiving, school, work, illness, boredom, etc. We All face them.
Honestly back in 2006, I found myself sandwiched between my Mother becoming more dependent on me and my family needs. Daily trips to help my Mother and trying to juggle our Family demands became a bit stressful. Luckily, I had started watercolor painting in 2002 and joined a Chinese watercolor class at Darlington Arts. My focus on painting, whether it was art gallery worthy or not – was a Great feeling!

My experience…
There is a great advantage to having a diversion in your daily life!
Influenced by my Chinese Paint instructor, Josephine Sai at the Darlington Arts Studio early 2002, I became mesmerized by the flow of watercolor. It became a great one hour to mingle with other artist and share their enthusiasm for the medium.
In 2003, I became friends with Ann Dickheiser while enjoying a watercolor class at Longwood Gardens. Soon after I joined her group of artist for a weekly 2 hour painting group. Sharing ideas on composition, tools of the trade and honest critics of everyone’s work was valuable.
I have found engaging in an engrossing hobby can help you think, be creative and keep your thoughts from driving to past or future worries.
Looking back, I have had hobbies since my dollhouse days including: playing piano, Irish dancing, creating potholders, drawing abstract art, reading fiction, string art (it’s coming back), macrame, collecting, painting, calligraphy and the list goes on…they have all in one way or another helped me escape.
A little inspiration from my friend Kathie Iannuzzi, A Career Life Coach, https://FromWithin.love encouraged
me to start a Blog and share my passion of hobbies with you!
